Gardening in Colorado

Vegetable Garden

Flower Garden Kits

It is time to get planting in Colorado.  This year with the wind and cold it has been hard getting things started.  That is why it is good if you have the room to get the plants started in the house and then transplant them to the yard.  On my site I have a page for gardening that will give many items and links where you can find tools and helps for starting a garden inside.  You can get starter pots and soil and seed packets.  It does not matter if you are doing a vegetable garden or a flower garden.

My daughter is starting two different flowers inside and then we will transplant them to the flower pot outside soon.  She is only five years old and is so excited about her flowers growing.  They have all poked through the soil and are about three inches tall.

Maybe you do not have room outside but would like to grow a little something inside.  I have a terrarium for flowers you can create and enjoy inside.

Please look at the garden page and enjoy your summer.

Plane kit for level 2

The a child that likes airplanes this hobby can be fun for all ages.  The beginner kit shown on the left is a simple rubber band plane that you would wind up and fly.  The other two are radio control planes that take a little more work.  Some of these planes come already to fly, others you will have to put together.  I always liked the challenge of putting the plane together and then flying it.  There are also lined controlled planes which are good for the change from the rubber band type before going to the radio controlled kind.

Take some time with your children and build and fly these planes.  You will create memories that will last a lifetime.

Check out the planes on the hobby page.  There are also links to other areas with a much larger selection.

model rocket kits level 1

Rockets are a great way to spend time with your children.  It is a hobby that will help your skills and creativity as well as your child’s.  There is nothing like building something and seeing it work when you are done.  Watching it sore into the sky and then retrieving it just to fly it all over again.  With this hobby you can get an easy one so you and your child can learn together and then be able to grow to the more experienced ones.  There are single stage rockets for beginners but the best ones are the triple stage rockets.

Have fun with this hobby and be sure to check out the page on this site for hobbies.  There are several to look at there with links to other sites where there are alot to choose from.

Electric Mussle Car

These are so much fun for adults as well as children.  My Daughter had a beginner car and played with it for quite a long time.  It was small and did not run on carpet but it did run well outside and on tile floors.  I am sure that I will need to take a step  up soon.

Please take a look at the hobbies page on this site for more ideas and links to purchase for your families enjoyment.

Also I have a link page to help you find other areas of interest.
